Equestrian

The indoor arena at Drumcoura is a sanctuary where riders can hone their skills regardless of weather conditions. Enclosed within sturdy walls, the arena offers a controlled environment for training and practice. Riders can perfect their trail class, reining and other Western disciplines under the watchful eye of experienced instructors. The arena's spaciousness accommodates group lessons and clinics, fostering a sense of community among riders. With proper lighting and ventilation, it becomes a haven where the spirit of Western horsemanship thrives year-round.

Equestrian facilities:

  • Indoor Round Pen for Training

  • Horse Walker for up to 6 horses

  • 3 barns for hay and equipment

  • 10 fenced fields

  • Approved by the Association of Irish Riding Establishments

  • Qualified Western Horse Riding Instructors

Drumcoura EC does not do livery. However, it does take in horses at €20 per night when there is a show or clinic being held at Drumcoura (includes hay and shavings).

Genuine Western Tack

Western horse riding tack, essential for authentic cowboy experiences, embodies the spirit of the Old West in every detail. Sturdy leather saddles provide comfort and stability on the trail. Bridles crafted from supple leather and adorned with silver accents offer precise communication between rider and horse. Wide, durable cinches ensure security during rugged rides. Traditional breast collars add both style and function, keeping gear securely in place. Stirrups offer support and balance. Each piece of tack tells a story of heritage and craftsmanship, enhancing the western horse riding lessons with authenticity and tradition.

Drumcoura Saloon Bar & Restaurant

From the moment you step through the Saloon swing doors, you are immersed in a unique Western World. They serve a wide selection of beers, spirits and cocktails. The welcoming and experienced staff will be delighted to give you food or drink recommendations. They also serve locally sourced steaks, gourmet burgers and pizzas along with traditional and vegetarian options. 

Whether you are visiting for just an evening or a full week, the whole venue is tailored to make your experience a memorable one. They can cater for small to large groups from 2 to 150 and offer flexible packages to suit all occasions.
