Western trained Horses, including American Quarter Horses and American Paint Horses are the foundation for Drumcoura Equestrian Activities. There is a large indoor arena and two outdoor arenas as well as forest trails.  Instructors will make your riding lessons or trekking enjoyable no matter what your level of skill or experience. Our Equestrian Centre is AIRE approved and we have two instructors that hold Level 2 Certificates from the Western Equestrian Society in association with Horse Sport Ireland.

Drumcoura Lake is a matter of  a minute away by walking from your timber built self-catering accommodation to the 50 acre Lake, where you can hire one of Drumcoura’s row boats (summer only) or fish from the Jetty or bank of the lake. The lake has a good variety of fish including pike, perch and bream.  If the fish don’t bite, you can fish from Lough Awaddy at the end of our property or explore a myriad of lakes, streams and canals in the immediate vicinity of Drumcoura.  No licence is required to fish on Drumcoura Lake or Lough Awaddy.

Drumcoura has an outdoor tennis court. Please bring your tennis racquets, balls, and appropriate footwear.

There are row boats (summer only) at the jetty on Drumcoura Lake.  Whether you are interested in rowing for enjoyment or wish to use the row boats for fishing you should have a great time on the lake. Drumcoura Lake Resort provides life jackets for both adults and children.  The cost of a boat rental is €10.00 for 2 hours.

Saloon (Bar and Restaurant)

The Saloon  bar and Restaurant is open at 6:00pm on Wednesday to Friday and at 1:00pm on Saturday and Sunday.   It is a picture of what you would find in the West of America and is the only Western Bar and Restaurant in the County.    There is live music on most Saturday nights.   The Restaurant serves great American Style food.
